To complement the casino and gaming areas, Newport Mall includes the 1,500-seat Newport Performing Arts Theater for concerts and music events, and four cinema screens at the Newport Cinemas. The state-of-the-art theater is designed for maximum flexibility to accommodate a wide variety of performances including theatrical productions, music concerts and gala events. Recent stage productions held at the theater include “Priscilla: Queen of the Desert,” “Cinderella,” “The King and I,” “The Sound of Music,” and the Company’s original Las Vegas-meets-Broadway production, “Kaos.” The four-screen cinema features a total of 1,071 seats, and includes two premium cinemas with stadium seating, a 3-D cinema featuring Dolby Digital technology and an 80-seat “ultra” cinema featuring fully reclining seats, unlimited popcorn and drinks and butler service.
The gaming facility includes “Bar 360” and “Bar 180,” two large bar areas on the ground floor and second floor of the casino, respectively. Both bars are operated by the Company and feature quality local singing acts and entertainers.
The Newport Mall also features the Plaza, an indoor piazza constructed in a Mediterranean-themed, modern classic architectural style that is naturally lit by glass skylight. The Company regularly arranges crowd-drawing events, including live music concerts, other entertainment events and product promotions, in the Plaza.
The retail space in the Newport Mall (which includes 89 retail outlets and 30 F&B outlets) occupies approximately 11,534 sq. m. of gross leasable area across four levels. The retail outlets include high-end boutiques and signature brand-name stores, featuring among others, Bedat & Co, TWG Tea Company, Michael Kors, Dunhill, Salvatore Ferragamo, Rolex, Cartier, Bulgari, Zegna, and Montblanc on the ground floor, as well as other well-known international brands, including The Body Shop, Hush Puppies, Guess and Mango. The retail space in the Newport Mall is managed by Megaworld under a management services contract.
The gaming facility includes large bar areas at the center of the main gaming floor and the second floor gaming area, surrounded by multiple dining options to cater to the broad array of customer tastes. Newport Mall also has a bar area and a wide variety of dining options. Fine-dining options include a range of culinary cuisines from well-known, international chefs. Dining options at Maxims Hotel include, among others, Cantonese restaurant Passion, Japanese and Korean cuisine at Ginzadon, Filipino cuisine at Mercado, and Maxims Terrace. The Marriott Hotel Manila features a number of dining options, including a modern steakhouse, an all-day buffet and a gourmet coffee and pastry shop. There are also a number of mass market dining options in the Newport Mall, including international outlets such as McDonald’s, Starbucks, and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.
